Performs well in California Clanton closed with a one-over 73 on Sunday at the Farmers Insurance Open to finish tied for 15th place.

Impact Clanton jumped 10 spots up the leaderboard Sunday despite shooting over par, securing his best finish of the 2025 campaign. The American put on an incredible display with his putter over the weekend, finishing the Famers Insurance Open with the fewest putts per green in regulation (1.68) and the 11th-most strokes gained while putting (4.13). Clanton is not expected to compete in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am next weekend, so his next opportunity to play on the tour will likely be the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Feb. 6.

Impact Clanton began the day three shots off the lead and had a bogey-free front-nine, and he moved into a share of the lead after moving to five-under through 16 holes. He seemed to feel the pressure on the closing hole, however, and a six-foot par putt miss cost him a chance at the victory. The amateur had an excellent week with his driving play, ranking second in SG: Off-the-tee. Clanton is in excellent position to attain his card in June 2025 through PGA Tour University Accelerated.
