Turbulent T12 in Memphis Kitayama posted a one-over 71 in the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship to finish tied for 12th.
Impact The St. Jude Championship was a bit of a roller coaster for Kitayama, who finished with a 65-73-66-71 scorecard. His final round was particularly erratic, finishing with two double bogeys, two bogeys, three birdies and an eagle. Still, his performance in Memphis was enough for him to move into the top-30 of the FedExCup Standings (28th), and if he can stay in that bracket following the BMW Championship, then he would qualify for the lucrative TOUR Championship. Kitayama ranked T11 in birdies, T13 in bogeys, T18 in GIR and 21st in both SG: OTT and Approach at TPC Southwind.

Share of 24th in 3M Open defense Kitayama finished tied for 24th at the 3M Open with a 13-under cumulative score.
Impact Kitayama entered TPC Twin Cities as the defending champion, though he didn't have that level of success this time around. Still, he did enough to secure his 11th top-25 of the season (across 19 tournaments) and ranked 13th in SG: Off-the-Tee, T14 in birdies and bogeys, 20th in driving distance and in the top-30 in both driving accuracy and SG: Putting. Kitayama is 31st in the FedExCup Standings, mostly due to his T2 at The Genesis Invitational and top-10 finishes at the Cadillac Championship and PGA Championship. He'll take at least one week off, as he's not listed in the field for the Rocket Classic.

Ties major record with Sunday 63 Kitayama fired a bogey-free, seven-under 63 in the final round of the PGA Championship to finish tied in a four-way tie for 10th.
Impact Kitayama was one of the few players to struggle in the third round Saturday despite easier pin locations, finishing with a five-over 75 that included two double bogeys. Sunday was a completely different story, as Kitayama opened his round with three-straight birdies and carded another four, including on the par-4 18th that moved him into the top-10 after starting the day in 64th. He gained a field-leading 5.24 strokes with his putter in the the final round and ended the tournament T2 in birdies made, T3 in GIR, 10th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 25th in both SG: Putting and driving accuracy. Kitayama's score of 63 tied the major championship record for the lowest score in a final round, and it was his best performance at a major since his T4 at the 2023 PGA Championship. Kitayama will take at least one week off, as he's not listed in the field for THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.
