Takes victory in Twin Cities Kitayama fired a six-under 65 in the final round to win the 3M Open by one stroke over Sam Stevens.

Impact Kitayama surged into contention with an 11-under 60 in the third round. He kept that momentum going early on Sunday with birdies on six of his first eight holes. Kitayama held firm control of this throughout the day, but things tightened up a bit late with a bogey on the par-3 17th to reduce the gap to one. Fortunately, Kitayama would only need to make par on the par-5 18th to close it out. He did a nice job avoiding all the water up the right of 18 and was able to tap in for par. Kitayama now has his second PGA Tour win and first since the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational. He came into the week at 110th in the FedExCup, but now moves up to 53rd and will be in the postseason. This is Kitayama's third straight top-15 finish after a terrible start to the year and he will have to be one to watch over the last month of the PGA Tour season. Kitayama is listed in the field for the Wyndham Championship next week.
