Rides hot putter to solid finish
Spieth shot a five-under 66 in the final round of The Genesis Invitational to finish in a share of 12th place.
Impact
Spieth put together a strong bogey-free round on Sunday to secure his best finish of the year. He found a lot of confidence with the putter and gained the second-most strokes of anyone in the field. It wasn't Spieth's finest ball striking performance, but ranking third in scrambling helped him keep a score together. Spieth will not be in the field for the Cognizant Classic next week, but has received a sponsors exemption to play in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Third in SG: Putting at AT&T Pro-Am
Spieth carded an even-par 72 on Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish 13-under and tied for 29th.
Impact
Spieth entered the weekend in a tie for 10th after playing his first 36 holes of the tournament in a collective 10-under-par, but he lost 2.46 strokes ball striking throughout his final two rounds at Pebble Beach to ultimately drop outside of the top-25. Nonetheless, he ranked third among the Signature Event field in SG: Putting and fourth in putting percentage from 5-10 feet en route to 21 total birdies and an eagle across 72 holes. Spieth lands at 82nd in the Official World Golf Ranking ahead of the upcoming Genesis Invitational.

Top-25 after four rounds in the 60s
Spieth finished in a share of 24th place at the Sony Open in Hawaii following a one-under 69 in the final round.
Impact
All-in-all it was a pretty solid opening event for the three-time major winner. Spieth shot four rounds in the 60s and gained strokes across the board. That's quite the improvement after finishing tied for last at the Hero World Challenge in early December. The key for Spieth is staying healthy after struggling with a wrist injury for the last couple years. We know he has the game, but if he can't practice and play regularly then he's never going to get back there. Spieth won't be in the field for The American Express next week, but we should see him at least a few times on the West Coast Swing.
