Out of Cognizant Classic Bridgeman has withdrawn his name from the field for this week's Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, Rob Bolton of PGATour.com reports.

Impact Bridgeman has elected to take the week off after securing his maiden PGA Tour victory at The Genesis Invitational on Sunday. He'll likely make his next tournament appearance at the Arnold Palmer Invitational where he tied for 15th during his Bay Hill debut last year.

Victorious at The Genesis Bridgeman posted an 18-under cumulative score at The Genesis Invitational to capture the victory by one stroke over Kurt Kitayama and Rory McIlroy.

Impact The Genesis looked to be Bridgeman's tournament to lose after he went 19-under through the first three rounds to enter Sunday with a commanding six-stroke lead. Bridgeman started the final round nicely with two birdies over the first three holes before logging bogeys on the fourth and seventh, and he saw his large lead steadily decline as the day went on. Fortunately, the cushion he built for himself over the first three days of the signature event was enough to stave off late surges from Kitayama and McIlroy, as Bridgeman's two-putt par on the par-4 18th gave the 26-year-old his first PGA Tour victory. It's been a great start to the 2026 season for Bridgeman, who has finished in the top-20 in each of his five Tour outings (including three top-10s). He'll be in the field next week for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches.

Impact Bridgeman spent some time out in front of the field on Sunday after he birdied four of the first six holes. Bridgeman would unfortunately make four bogeys coming home against just two more birdies. That would leave him in T8 following quite the wild adventure on the 72nd hole. Bridgeman got away with ranking 67th in SG: Off-the-Tee with very solid approach play, short game and putting. This now makes it four straight top-20 finishes to begin the 2026 season. Second in SG: Putting Bridgeman fired a four-under 67 in the final round of the WM Phoenix Open to finish tied for 18th.

Impact Bridgeman got better as the tournament progressed, culminating in his best round Sunday. He ranked near the bottom of the field in SG: Approach to Green and SG: Around the Green, but he was elite when he got onto the green, finishing second in SG: Putting. Bridgeman has made the cut in each of his three PGA Tour appearances this season, which has led to him rising from 81st to 55th in the OWGR. He'll be in the field for next week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for the first time in his career.

It was a disappointing finish for Bridgeman, who finished T3 in the field in birdies made, T9 in driving accuracy and 10th in SG: Off the Tee, though he ranked near the bottom in SG: Around the Green. He has opened the 2026 PGA Tour season with back-to-back top-15 finishes and is up to 57th in the OWGR heading into the Farmers Insurance Open next week.
