T10 at ISCO Championship
Koivun carded a three-under 67 in the final round of the ISCO Championship to finish in a tie for 10th.
Impact
Koivun was unable to make the cut in his professional debut last week at the John Deere Classic, but he was far better at the ISCO, where he finished T6 as an amateur last year. He went three-under par or better in three of his four rounds, and for the tournament he ranked sixth in SG: Around, T10 in bogeys, 12th in scrambling and in the top-25 in birdies, driving accuracy and SG: Putting. Koivun is not listed in the field for the Corales Puntacana Championship next week, nor The Open Championship.

Misses cut in professional debut
Koivun missed the cut by four strokes at the John Deere Classic after posting a one-under 70 in the second round.
Impact
Koivun put the Tour on notice with a T23 performance at the U.S. Open two weeks ago. That was his last event as an amateur, and this year's John Deere Classic was the 23-year-old's debut as a professional after earning full membership status through the PGA Tour University Accelerated program. He actually finished T11 in last year's JDC, but he couldn't replicate that success in his pro debut. Koivun opened the tournament with a two-over 73 before ending the second round with two bogeys over his final four holes. However, he did show flashes of his potential, including a three-under front nine Friday that included an eagle on the par-5 second hole. Kovun did well with his driver, gaining 1.56 strokes off the tee across his two rounds, but his putting game will need work as he lost 3.26 strokes in that category. He'll look for better results next week at the ISCO Championship, where he finished T6 in 2025.

Shares low amateur honors
Koivun closed with a two-under 68 in the final round of the U.S. Open to finish in a tie for 23rd place and share low amateur honors with Ryder Cowan.
Impact
Koivun's final round was by far his best of the week which included three straight birdies on the front-nine and a closing birdie at the par-4 18th. He gained strokes across the board at Shinnecock, showing how well-rounded his game is as he enters a new stage in his career. Koivun will turn professional at the upcoming John Deere Classic and have full status via PGA TOUR University Accelerated for the remainder of 2026 and the full 2027 season. Koivun has had one of the most decorated collegiate careers in golf history, winning the Haskins Award, Jack Nicklaus Award and Ben Hogan Award twice in his three seasons, including as a freshman. He most recently helped Auburn to a NCAA Division I Championship, the school's second in three years. Koivun has all the traits of a future PGA Tour superstar.
