Rebounds from triple-bogey on Sunday
Riley finished in a share of second place following a one-over 72 in the final round of the PGA Championship.
Impact
Riley briefly moved into solo second place and within four shots of Scottie Scheffler after holing out for birdie on the par-4 5th. That was quickly erased with a bogey on the 6th hole followed by an ugly triple-bogey on the par-5 7th hole. To Riley's credit he did not quit and kept fighting. He would make three more birdies coming home and no bogeys to secure a very impressive T2 finish, easily his best finish in a major (T13 at 2022 PGA). This will assure him of a spot in The Masters next year and move him all the way up to 42nd in the FedExCup standings. Riley will be defending his title at the Charles Schwab Challenge next week.

Posts four under-par rounds
Riley carded a two-under 69 on Sunday at the Valspar Championship to finish in solo seventh place.
Impact
Riley was two shots back to start the day and got off to a good start with an opening birdie, but a double bogey on the par-5 fifth hole dropped him to five back and essentially ended his chances of winning. Nevertheless, he did post four under-par rounds at the difficult venue and led the field for the week in SG: Around the green. Although he's struggled over the last several months, he's suddenly showed some improved form with a pair of top-10s over his last three starts.

Unable to finish final round
Riley withdrew during the final round of The Sentry with an undisclosed injury, PGA Tour Communications reports.
Impact
Riley made it through only nine holes in the final round before he decided to withdraw. He did not make a par in those holes, carding five bogeys and four birdies. Riley was on track to finish last anyways, so it's not going to really hurt him, however, Riley also pulled his name from the entry list of next week's Sony Open in Hawaii. The injury will be something to monitor over the next couple weeks and we'll see when he's able to return.

Narrowly misses playoffs
Riley carded an even-par 70 on Sunday at the Wyndham Championship to finish tied for 38th place.
Impact
Riley was unable to get much going in the final round as he started with 10 consecutive pars and ultimately only made two birdies on the day. Sitting on the bubble for the playoffs, he missed three birdie chances from inside 15 feet on the 16th-18th holes and finished 71st in the FedExCup Standings to miss the playoffs by one spot. Riley was let down by his ball striking, as he lost strokes off-the-tee and on approach for the week.
