Free falls in Houston Willett posted a four-over 74 during the final round of the Texas Children's Houston Open to finish tied for 56th.

Impact Willett had some momentum heading into the final round after a four-under 66 score Saturday that included three-straight birdies from holes 15 to 17. It was a different story for the Englishman on Sunday, who bogeyed each of the final four holes to drop down the leaderboard by 29 spots. It was a disappointing way to end things for Willett, who lost strokes both off the tee and with his irons at Memorial Park, and he's opened the season with finishes of MC-T42-MC-T56. He'll take a week off before attending The Masters, where he won in 2016 by three strokes over both Lee Westwood and Jordan Spieth. Willet followed up that victory with three-straight missed cuts, and over the last five years at Augusta National, he has finished MC-T12-MC-T45-T42.

First top-10 since 2022 Willett closed with a one-under 71 in the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open to move up into a tie for ninth place.

Impact Willett has really struggled with his game over the last couple years and this was his first top-10 anywhere since a runner-up finish in Napa back in 2022. Willett's final round included an eagle, three birdies and four bogeys to move up 25 places on the leaderboard. The Englishman ranked top-10 for the week in SG: Putting and putts per GIR. Willett won't be in the field for next week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, but he will hope this result can be the start of some good play over the coming months.
