Unable to convert 54-hole lead Morikawa closed with a final round even-par 72 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, finishing one shot behind champion Russell Henley. Impact Morikawa started Sunday with a one-shot lead and got off to a great start with a bunker hole-out for birdie on the opening hole. He eventually built his lead up to three with five holes to play, but he stumbled with a bogey on the par-3 14th hole and was ultimately passed by Henley's eagle on the par-5 16th hole and had to settle for the runner-up finish. Morikawa lost strokes on the greens for the tournament but did lead the field in SG: Tee-to-green. It's his second runner-up finish of the year.
