Impact Hossler came into this week needing a strong finish and some help along the way to make the FedEx Cup Playoffs. After rounds of 66-68-70 in the first three rounds, Hossler's playoff hopes were fading fast. However that didn't stop Hossler from making a strong attempt on Sunday to back door his way into the playoffs. His final round 65 allowed Hossler to jump 14 spots into the top-20 and finish T15, which now makes it four top-15 finishes in his last five tournaments. While it was a little too late for Hossler to make the playoffs, he will take some good momentum into the fall season to maintain his tour card.

Impact Hossler gained 2.09 strokes off the tee throughout his two rounds at Vidanta Vallarta, but he lost 1.5 strokes with his irons and another 1.76 strokes putting to ultimately miss his first cut of the season while dropping from 62nd to No. 71 in the early FedExCup standings.
