T7 in Ireland Fitzpatrick fired a five-under 65 in the final round of the BMW PGA Championship on the DP World Tour to finish tied with Jacob Skov Olesen for seventh.
Impact Fitzpatrick surged up the leaderboard over the weekend, going eight-under over his final 36 holes. He finished the tournament eighth in SG: Off-the-Tee, ninth in SG: Around and 19th in driving accuracy. It was Fitzpatrick's first tournament since his T4 at the TOUR Championship and first appearance at a DPWT event since his victory at the Hero Indian Open, which he followed up with a win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans to earn a PGA Tour membership. He'll tee off next week at the BMW PGA Championship, where he's missed the cut in each of the last two years.

Ties best round of day to finish T4 Fitzpatrick fired a four-under 66 to jump into a share of fourth place at the TOUR Championship.
Impact Fitzpatrick's 66 on Sunday was tied for the best round of the day and it moved him up 12 positions on the leaderboard from where he started. His ball striking for the week wasn't all that great, but the putting and short game really held him in it. This is certainly probably not how Fitzpatrick thought his 2026 season was going to go after having started on the DP World Tour just looking to find status on the PGA Tour going into 2027. That all changed with a win at the Zurich Classic with brother Matt to allow him to take up membership on the world's top tour. Alex certainly showed he belonged with five more top-10 finishes the rest of the season, most of which at some very big events. He also had a win in the spring at the Hero Indian Open on the DP World Tour. Fitzpatrick will likely play some events overseas to close out his 2026 campaign.

Drops to T44 at BMW Championship Fitzpatrick recorded a one-over cumulative score at the BMW Championship to finish tied with Ben Griffin and Bud Cauley for 44th.
Impact Fitzpatrick entered the week having finished MC-T71-T61-T61 over his last four outings, a far cry from his form following his victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. He looked like he had turned a corner with a four-under 66 opening round, but Fitzpatrick steadily fell down the leaderboard by going five-over across his final three rounds. He finished T15 in driving accuracy and was middle-of-the-pack in SG: Putting, Off-the-Tee and Around. However, Fitzpatrick lost 2.70 strokes in his approach play (39th) and ranked T40 in GIR. Despite his recent string of poor play, the Englishman will join his brother, Matt Fitzpatrick, at next week's TOUR Championship.
AUGUST 24 • ROTOWIRE
T61 at Wyndham Championship Fitzpatrick posted a one-under 69 in the final round of the Wyndham Championship to finish in a seven-way tie for 61st.
Impact Fitzpatrick was six-under through the first two rounds but opened the weekend poorly with a three-over 73, when he ranked second-to-last in SG: Around and seventh in both driving accuracy and SG: Off-the-Tee. For the tournament, the Englishman finished last in SG: Around, as well as 69th in SG: Putting (lost 2.49 strokes on the green) while ranking T12 and 21st in SG: Off-the-Tee and Approach, respectively. Fitzpatrick earned a PGA Tour membership through 2027 thanks to his victory at the Zurich Classic alongside brother, Matt Fitzpatrick. Alex made the most of his new membership, making the cut in nine of the next 10 tournaments to finish 19th in the FedExCup Standings thanks to five top-10 finishes, including solo fourth at the Truist Championship. He'll tee off next week at the St. Jude Championship, the first of three FedExCup playoff events.

Falls apart over weekend at The Open Fitzpatrick posted a six-over cumulative score at The Open Championship to finish tied with Laurie Canter and MJ Dauffe for 71st.
Impact Fitzpatrick was looking to bounce back from his missed cut at last week's Genesis Scottish Open. He looked good early on at Royal Birkdale and entered the weekend at four-under, but that's where his good fortunes ended. He posted a three-over 73 score Saturday and completely unravelled Sunday with a seven-over 77 with eight bogeys and one birdie. Fitzpatrick actually ranked ninth in SG: Tee-to-Green and in the top-35 in SG: Off-the-Tee, Approach and Around. However, he was dreadful when he got on the green and lost a staggering 10.03 strokes with his putter, with 6.74 of those lost strokes coming in the final round alone. Fitzpatrick's season has still been one of the feel-good stories of the year, but you have to wonder whether he's cooled off following his two weeks in the United Kingdom. He will not participate in the 3M Open next week.

Misses cut at Scottish Open Fitzpatrick missed the cut by three strokes at the Genesis Scottish Open after posting a one-over cumulative score.
Impact The cut-line was set at two-under, so Fitzpatrick had his work cut out for him after posting a one-over 71 in the opening round. The Englishman was two-under through 12 holes Friday, but he couldn't gain the additional stroke he needed to qualify for the weekend and ended his day with back-to-back bogeys on his final two holes. It's the first time Fitzpatrick has missed the cut since earning his PGA Tour membership following his victory with his brother, Matt Fitzpatrick, at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Alex is in the field for The Open Championship, where he finished T17 in his lone appearance at golf's oldest major in 2023 at Royal Liverpool.

T7 at Travelers Championship Fitzpatrick carded a bogey-free, six-under 64 in the final round of the Travelers Championship to finish tied with J.J. Spaun and Corey Conners for seventh.
Impact Fitzpatrick finished the tournament with a 17-under cumulative score and gained 12 of those strokes over the final two rounds, posting just one bogey to 13 birdies in that 36-hole span. His two bogeys were tied for best of the field at TPC River Highlands, and the Englishman finished the tournament fifth in driving accuracy, scrambling and SG: Approach, T6 in GIR, T12 in birdies and 16th in SG: Off-the-Tee. Fitzpatrick has made the cut in each of his seven outings since earning his PGA Tour membership with his victory at the Zurich Classic, including four top-10 finishes and a T23 at the U.S. Open. The next time he'll tee off will be in two weeks at the Genesis Scottish Open, where he failed to make the cut in his two prior outings in 2024 and 2025.

Surges with Sunday 65 Fitzpatrick fired a final round seven-under 65 at the Memorial Tournament to finish in a share of sixth place.
Impact Fitzpatrick saved his best round for Sunday, posting eight birdies (to go along with one bogey) to tie for the low round of the day and climb into the top-10. He only missed one fairway in the final round and gained 3.2 strokes putting. For the week, Fitzpatrick stood out by gaining shots in every strokes gained category and was notably seventh in SG: Approach. It's his third straight top-10 finish in signature events.

Alex Fitzpatrick and brother Matt enjoy simultaneous success on PGA Tour

Alex Fitzpatrick is enjoying the spotlight in the golf world, especially after winning the Zurich Classic team event with his brother Matt
MAY 12 • Associated Press
Settles for P4 in Charlotte Fitzpatrick shot a two-over 73 in the final round of the Truist Championship and had to settle for solo fourth place.
Impact Fitzpatrick won the Zurich Classic with his brother Matt a couple weeks ago to lock up his PGA Tour card. That gave him exemptions into all the Signature Events. Fitzpatrick had a strong top-10 showing last week in Miami, and then rolled that right into Quail Hollow where he took the 54-hole lead into Sunday with rounds of 67-68-64. The nerves were evident early with a bogey at 2 and then a double at 3, but Fitzpatrick showed resolve with birdies at 5, 10, 12 and 13 to rejoin the lead. He did miss a couple of good opportunities at 14 and 15, but the nail was really put in the coffin with a sloppy double-bogey at the par-3 17th. Fitzpatrick pulled off a very nice up-and-down at 18 to secure solo fourth, however. To anyone that said that Alex was carried to a PGA Tour card by Matt, clearly this week should have proved that the younger Fitzpatrick has a ton of game himself after contending in this Signature Event all week and leading a very strong field in both SG: Approach and GIR's.
