Impact Bhatia opened the tournament with a one-over 73 score Thursday. The cut line was set at four-over par, and it looked like he was going to make it to the weekend after going three-over through 17 holes in the second round, but those aspirations were snuffed out by a double bogey on the par-4 18th. Bhatia has missed the cut in each of his last two tournaments if the DP World Tour is included, which is a far cry from his performance in his five prior outings on the PGA Tour, which includes three top-10 finishes and a playoff victory over Daniel Berger at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in early March. Bhatia will look to get back on track next week at the RBC Heritage, where he missed the cut in his Harbour Town debut in 2023 before finishing T18 and T42 in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
