Cracks top-10 at The Open
Scott carded a four-under 66 in the final round of The Open Championship to finish in a five-way share of ninth.
Impact
Scott was inconsistent at Royal Birkdale, finishing the major with a 72-66-72-66 scorecard. However, his performance in the final round catapulted him up 29 spots into the top-10, his first at a major since the 2024 Open (T10). Birkdale is a scrambling course, but Scott lost 2.52 strokes in that category across his four rounds to 75th out of the 78 players who made the cut. He made up for it in other ways, finishing 12th in SG: Approach, 14th in SG: Putting, 15th in GIR and 21st in SG: Off-the-Tee. It's the third top-10 finish in 16 tournaments this season for Scott and his best outing since his T4 at the Cadillac Championship. He'll take at least one week off, as he's not listed in the field for the 3M Open.

T66 at Genesis Scottish Open
Scott fired a one-under 69 on Sunday at the Genesis Scottish Open to finish two-over and tied for 66th.
Impact
Scott recorded three scores of one-under 69 throughout his week at The Renaissance Club, but he struggled in Round 3 on Saturday when he hit just three fairways and eight greens in regulation while losing 4.09 strokes with his ball striking and another 2.44 strokes putting. Nonetheless, he ended the event ranked 27th among the field in scrambling and 25th in overall proximity. On a less positive note, he's now placed T66-65-MC across three starts since his T12 at the Memorial Tournament, falling to 35th in the FedExCup standings. Scott will look to rebound at The Open Championship hosted by Royal Birkdale, where he finished T16-T22 in 2008 and 2017.

Sunk by six-over second round
Scott missed the cut by four strokes at the PGA Championship after posting an eight-over cumulative score.
Impact
Scott opened the tournament with a two-over 72 score that included three-straight bogeys from holes 14 to 16. He went four-over on the front nine of the second round and couldn't make up enough ground on the back, finishing his tournament with 10 bogeys, one double bogey and four birdies. Scott struggled with his putter, losing 4.32 strokes in that category while converting on just five of 12 scrambling opportunities. It was the Australian's first MC of the 2026 season (through 11 tournaments) and the fourth time he's missed the cut at the PGA Championship in his last six outings at the major. Scott will not participate in THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson tournament next week.
