It's unclear what the severity of the receiver's hamstring injury is, but LSU is operating with extreme caution. "He's going to be an important player for us," head coach Brian Kelly said. Impact Thomas also rushed three times for 14 yards for the game. He accumulated 182 scrimmage yards in the final two games of the season for the Bulldogs. Thomas finishes an otherwise dismal campaign for MSU with 40 catches for 503 yards and just one touchdown.

Breakout performance in loss Thomas logged nine receptions (on 12 targets) for 112 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 27-13 loss to Auburn.

Impact Thomas set career highs across the board despite the loss, including scoring the first touchdown of his collegiate career. Interestingly, the breakout performance for Thomas coincided with a new quarterback under center in the form of Mike Wright. It remains to be seen if starter Will Rogers (arm) will suit up next weekend against Kentucky, though this is worth monitoring as Thomas seems to have a better rapport with Wright.
