Joining Boilermakers Townsend has committed to play for Purdue for the 2026 season, per Chris Hummer of 247Sports.com.

Impact Townsend will join the Boilermakers following a single season with Iowa State. The 5-foot-11 receiver appeared in nine games for the Cyclones in 2025, catching 18 passes for 243 scoreless yards while adding 18 yards and a rushing score on the ground as well. The former UCF transfer will retain a single year of eligibility with Purdue.
