Impact Watson got the start in place of the injured Kyron Drones and Colin Schlee. The redshirt freshman quarterback played very well in his first career start, surpassing 300 all-purpose yards and protecting the football while completing an efficient 66.7 percent of his passes. If the Hokies' other quarterbacks remain out, Watson could very feasible start the bowl game.
