Kyron Drones - Quiet in loss Drones was 12-for-21 passing for 124 yards during Saturday's 34-17 defeat versus Miami (FL). He also had 14 rushes for 31 yards.

Impact Drones had another quiet game through the air, but this time he wasn't able to make up for it as a rusher. Drones failed to score a rushing touchdown for the first time in five weeks, and his 31 rushing yards were his fewest since Week 5. The veteran QB got banged up late in the fourth quarter, opening the door for William Watson to see some snaps, and Watson dazzled. While Drones isn't expected to be replaced as the starter, Drones may have a shorter leash in VT's regular-season finale

Impact Watson entered in the fourth quarter after Kyron Drones got shaken up and scored a touchdown almost immediately. While the spark helped close the point differential, it likely wasn't enough for VT to consider starting Watson in the regular-season finale. That said, the Hokies may be quicker to turn away from Drones in Week 14 if Drones struggles.
