Dominates the Trojans Spears rushed 17 times for 205 yards four touchdowns and a lost fumble and caught one pass for 14 yards in Monday's 46-45 win over USC.

Impact Spears played his best game of the season Monday, setting season highs in rushing yards and touchdowns. He also had his second best yards per carry with 12.1, as he dominated the shaky USC defense. This was Spears' eighth straight game with over 120 rushing yards, as well as his sixth multi-touchdown game. The junior was one of the best backs in the country this season, and showed out on the biggest stage Monday. Spears declared for the NFL Draft shortly after the game, leaving a massive hole in the Green Wave offense heading into the 2023 season.

Impact After an ACL injury cut his 2020 season short, Spears made his return to the field against Oklahoma. The 5-foot-10 running back only mustered 23 yards of total offense but it was encouraging to see him back in action. It appears that Spears will be the second running back in the offense behind Cameron Carroll as the season progresses.

Once Spears progresses to full-contact drills, he projects to be ready for the start of the season.
