Impact Simpson got a series due to the lopsided, surprising score, but was unable to complete a pass and continues to back up Jalen Milroe. Even with the abysmal game from Milroe, Simpson will be relegated to the bench in the regular season finale with Auburn next weekend.

Impact Simpson saw more than one series in the blowout win, though was unable to find the end zone on his own. The redshirt sophomore remains the backup to starter Jalen Milroe, so barring injury he will spend most of the remains of the season on the bench. 2025 could be a different story, though, with Milroe expected to be a first-round pick in the NFL Draft.
