Impact Kilcrease drew the start Tuesday with Goose Crowder (upper body) sidelined but was replaced by Matthew Caldwell late in the second quarter after his five drives totaled just 10 yards. Considering Caldwell didn't fare much better than Kilcrease, it's unclear who the Trojans would turn to in Week 9 if Crowder can't play. Kilcrease threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns in his only other start this season.

Slated for second career start Kilcrease will get his second career start in the absence of Goose Crowder (upper body), national college football writer Brett McMurphy reports.

Impact Kilcrease started last week in place of the injured Crowder. He lost a fumble early in the game but wound up throwing for 249 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions while completing 60.7 percent of his passes. He'll look to build on those numbers against South Alabama on Tuesday night.

First start yields mixed results Kilcrease completed 17 of 28 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns during Thursday's 38-17 defeat against Texas State. He also had 13 rushes for negative seven yards.

Impact Kilcrease made his first career start Thursday, filling in for Goose Crowder (undisclosed). Kilcrease was solid outside of a fumble in the first quarter, completing 60.7 percent of passes and averaging 8.9 yards per attempt. The sophomore got banged up during the contest and ceded a pair of drives to Matthew Caldwell, but Kilcrease managed to close out the contest. Troy will be idle in Week 7 before facing South Alabama on Oct. 15.

Officially starting Thursday Kilcrease will start Thursday's game versus Texas State, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.

Impact With Goose Crowder (undisclosed) unavailable, Kilcrease will make his first career start Thursday. He replaced Crowder last week and completed six of 10 passes for 57 yards, adding 55 yards on nine attempts on the ground.

Game-time decision Thursday Head coach Gerad Parker indicated that Kilcrease (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision ahead of Thursday's game against Texas State, per Josh Boutwell of the Troy Messenger.

Impact Kilcrease threw for 57 yards last week against Louisiana-Monroe after filling in for injured starter Goose Crowder, but Kilcrease is now listed as a game-time decision. The sophomore quarterback has appeared in four games for the Trojans this season, throwing for 130 yards and a touchdown while adding 125 yards on the ground as well. Unfortunately for Troy, Crowder is also listed as a game-time decision and with both top quarterbacks possibly in line to miss Thursday's game, third-stringer Matthew Caldwell could be in for another start for the Trojans this season.

Impact Kilcrease was pushed into the game early Saturday after starter Goose Crowder (undisclosed) was knocked out of the game on the Trojans' second drive. While Kilcrease showed some rushing chops, he didn't lead a touchdown drive and finished with just 57 yards through the air. Kilcrease would likely remain under center if Crowder can't play Thursday against Texas State.
