Signs with LA Rams Edwards has signed with LA as a UDFA following a two-year stint with Louisiana Tech.

Impact Edwards will make the move to the NFL following a breakout season with the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-3 wideout tallied 85 receptions for 989 yards and six touchdowns last season, nearly quadrupling his production versus his first year with LA Tech. Edwards will look to battle for a roster spot this season during LA's fall camp.

Lands at Kentucky Edwards will transfer to Kentucky, Aaron Gershon of 247Sports reports.

Impact Edwards will have one season of eligibility remaining with the Wildcats. The receiver is coming off a career year with the Bulldogs, reeling in 85 catches for 981 yards and six touchdowns. He'll look to crack Kentucky's receiver rotation immediately.

Entering transfer portal Edwards entered the transfer portal Tuesday, per Chris Hummer of 247Sports.com.

Impact Edwards is entering the portal as a graduate student and will have one season of eligibility remaining. He is coming off the best season of his career where he hauled in 77 passes for 889 yards and six touchdowns.

Impact While the redshirt senior was targeted like a guy who might be saying goodbye to college football, this was actually pretty typical for him this season. Edwards had 77 catches for 889 yards and six touchdowns and was targeted more than 10 times in three outings.

Nets 53 yards Edwards caught eight passes for 53 yards versus Arkansas on Saturday. He also lost a fumble.

Impact Not Edwards' best outing, but he was the number-one target as per usual. On the year Edwards has 68 receptions through 11 games, but he's had at least six catches in each of his last eight outings.

Tallies seven catches Edwards caught seven passes for 52 yards against WKU on Saturday.

Impact The Bulldogs had 12 completions for 66 yards total, so Edwards was clearly the focal point of the passing game. He was, in essence, the entirety of the passing game. That yardage total is a concern, but Edwards has four 100-yard games so this could prove anomalous in terms of total passing yards for the team.

Huge game against JSU Edwards caught six passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns against JSU on Saturday.

Impact Edwards has really emerged as a number-one receiver this season. This is his fourth game with over 100 yards and a touchdown, and he has at least five catches in each of his last seven games.

Impact Once again, Edwards was turned to consistently for Louisiana Tech. He has 46 catches over his last seven games, and he's now over 500 yards on the season as well.

Impact The yardage is not remarkable, but Edwards once again probably made PPR players happy. After not having a catch in the opener, Edwards has 38 catches over his last six games.

Impact Edwards was already the primary receiver for the Bulldogs, but fortunately for him new starting quarterback Evan Bullock still likes him as an option. Three times this season Edwards has over 100 yards with a touchdown.

Finds end zone Edwards caught six passes for 127 yards and a touchdown against MTSU on Thursday.

Impact Finally, Edwards got to do something with all his looks. Two games ago he had five catches for 21 yards, and in his last game he turned eight catches into only 39 yards. While this game was better, it was against perhaps the worst passing defense in the FBS.

Impact When you average under five yards per reception, that's not good. New starting QB Evan Bullock was running the classic "safe" pass offense, but that relies on receivers to make something happen. Clearly, Edwards was not up to the task.

Big game against ACC team Edwards caught four passes for 148 yards and a touchdown against NC State on Saturday.

Impact Edwards only got two targets in the season opener, and he didn't have a catch. Following that up with 148 yards and a score against an ACC opponent is notable. He only had 23 catches for the Bulldogs last year, but there is opportunity here with the team's best receivers moving on. Let's see if this is a step forward for Edwards.
