Hits paydirt again Walker led Oregon State with 61 receiving yards on seven catches and a touchdown in the Beavers' 32-8 loss to Washington State on Saturday.

Impact Walker only had two touchdowns for the season, one in each of the final games for Oregon State. The senior led the Beavers in receiving for the season with 823 yards on 68 catches.

Leads OSU in receiving Walker was one of the few highlights for Oregon State as he collected 117 receiving yards on five catches and a touchdown as the Beavers fell to Tulsa, 31-14, on Saturday.

Impact Walker caught a three-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter when freshman quarterback Tristan Ti'a came into the contest. It was Walker's first touchdown of the season. The Beavers do not play until Nov. 29 against Washington State. It will be a tough final contest for Walker as the Cougars defense is in the top 10 in the nation against the pass. This will be the second game between OSU and WSU. In the first game on Nov. 1, the Beavers defeated the Cougars, 10-7. In that game Walker caught only 22 yards on four catches.

Impact The Beavers' senior was not needed in this contest against Lafayette. Walker will be necessary against Washington State on Saturday (Nov. 1). The Cougars defense is 35th against the pass in the country.

Impact There were some reports that Walker's back injury would cost him the rest of the season, but Walker said that was not true and that he would be available for Saturday's matchup. He's caught 45 passes (on 69 yards) for 598 yards through seven games this season, so the fact that he'll still be part of the Beavers' offense is great news.

The only negative for Walker was that he did not collect a touchdown against Appalachian State. The Beavers take on Wake Forest this Saturday, October 11. Impact There must have been a lot of talk during the week about Walker in Corvallis. The previous week, the senior went without a catch on only three targets against Oregon. Against Houston, Walker made up for more than 50 percent of the yards in the air. On the day the Beavers only threw for 201 yards. Oregon State takes on Appalachian State on Saturday, Oct. 4. The Mountaineers pass defense is in the bottom third in the nation and Boise State just threw for 321 yards against Appalachian State.

Despite the poor showing against the Broncos, Walker led the Oregon State receiving corps with 901 yards on 81 receptions and two touchdowns.

Impact For Walker it was a welcome sight the return of Ben Gulbranson under center. It was two weeks ago that the junior receiver set career marks with 151 yards on 11 catches from Gulbranson. Walker is Oregon State's leading receiver but only has two touchdowns this season. He has a good shot to add to that total against Boise State on Friday (Nov. 29). The Broncos defense is near the bottom in the country against the pass, allowing an average of 261 yards in the air per game.

Walker caught a two-yard touchdown pass from junior Ben Gulbranson who replaced junior Gerald McCoy under center in the game against California.

Impact Walker is starting to gain traction with back-to-back strong performances. In the last two games he had 16 catches for 184 yards. The lone negative for the junior is he is struggling to get into the end zone. Walker only has one touchdown on the season that came on Nov. 12 against Nevada. He could get a shot at the end zone and maybe hit the century mark this Saturday against California (Oct. 26). The Golden Bears defense is in the bottom quarter of the country against the pass.
