Back in game Friday Horton is back into the game after an injury earlier in Friday's game at Wyoming, Tyler King of The Denver Gazette reports.

Impact After missing an entire offensive drive after suffering an ankle injury, Horton is back in the game as he served as the punt returner in the second quarter. With the injury he suffered earlier in the game, along with the undisclosed injury he suffered last Saturday, it would not be surprising if he was somewhat limited in the second half.

Warming up Friday Horton (undisclosed) is participating in warmups ahead of Friday's game versus Wyoming, Kevin Lytle of the Fort Collins Coloradoan reports.

Impact Horton was considered a game-time decision after missing last week's contest with an undisclosed injury. However, his participation in warmups is a good sign of his availability Friday.

Impact Horton's loss would be a major blow to CSU's offense -- the senior wideout leads the Rams with 70 catches for 790 yards and six touchdowns through eight games this season. If Horton is sidelined next week vs. Wyoming, Justus Ross-Simmons, Louis Brown and Dylan Goffney would assume larger roles.

Seven receptions vs. UNLV Horton totaled seven receptions (on 11 targets) for 48 yards in Saturday's 25-23 loss against UNLV.

Impact While it was a down week by Horton's standards, he's now seen at least 11 targets in all but one game this season (which he left early due to injury). The senior wideout has 65 receptions, second-most nationally, through seven games this year for 738 yards and six touchdowns. Horton should continue to see high volume, though he'll have a tough matchup next week against an Air Force defense ranked second in the country.

Impact Horton had more than 100 receiving yards for the second time in the 2022 season and has really been a dominant offensive force for the Rams. Horton has 427 yards on the season through four games, and has more combined yards on the season than the next seven best Rams receivers combined

Shows big play ability against Cal Horton caught three passes for 94 yards on four targets against California.

Impact Nevada is loaded with pass catchers but it was Horton who had the most receiving yards against the Golden Bears. He had a long catch of 46 yards and was effective on his other targets. Romeo Doubs and Cole Turner project to see the most targets moving forward, but there's no reason why Horton and his downfield ability can't carve out a solid role in this high-flying passing game.
