Impact Saturday's performance marked Payne's first game with multiple catches this season and was his first career multi-touchdown day. The tight end has scored in back-to-back games and has caught five of his seven targets for 45 yards overall.

Impact Payne recorded just two catches for 27 yards and a touchdown last fall, but he's now in line to be the starting tight end for the Thundering Herd. He beat out the likes of Cade Conley and Justin Holmes for that role, although Conley could be dealing with a lingering aliment that's holding him out of action for now.
