Paces backfield Saturday McDaniel had 13 carries for 96 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 45-16 win over Lamar on Saturday.

Impact McDaniel filled in as the lead back for Tre Siggers (groin) after the latter was sidelined due to a minor groin injury. The third-year back has shown some great rushing prowess through the first two games this season, with 19 carries for 137 yards, which is good for 7.2 yards per carry. Siggers is expected back this weekend, which will push McDaniel back into a lesser role.

Impact McDaniel's 2020 season ended early due to a leg injury, leading to Ulysses Bentley taking over the starting role and running with it. Bentley is atop the depth chart to open 2021 as well, with Tre Siggers and Tyler Lavine listed behind him while McDaniel continues to work his way back. McDaniel was no slouch last season when he was available, rushing 60 times for 297 yards and a touchdown over four games.
