Impact Carney ran for his most yards since Week 5 against the Blue Devils. The tailback also scored his fifth touchdown of the season. He finished the year with 82 carries for 335 yards and six touchdowns, adding nine catches for 113 yards and a score. He was the Demon Deacons' handcuff to Demond Claiborne, and should he stick around in 2025, he should only see his role grow.

Catches touchdown in win Carney compiled nine rushes for 39 yards and gathered in all two targets for 41 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 27-24 victory against Stanford.

Impact Carney still firmly plays second fiddle to starter Demond Claiborne, but he had himself a solid day through both the air and ground. He's logged six carries in every game but one this fall, and his touchdown was his fifth of the season. While Claiborne remains the top dog in the Demon Deacons' backfield, Carney should remain a solid backup and handcuff option.

Solid day in relief of Claiborne Carney accrued 17 rushes for 59 yards and three touchdowns and caught all two targets for 12 yards during Saturday's 41-38 defeat against Louisiana.

Impact Carney wound up leading Wake Forest's backfield in touches as starting running back Demond Claiborne had to be carted off the field. Claiborne returned, but Carney still managed to tally nearly 20 carries. The tailback wasn't efficient at 3.4 yards-per-carry, but that hardly matters from a fantasy perspective when you score three times. Carney should continue to be the backup running back as long as Claiborne's injury isn't lingering.

Bottled up in blowout Carney compiled six rushes for 13 yards and reeled in 3 of 4 targets for 32 yards during Saturday's 40-6 loss versus Mississippi.

Impact In such a lopsided blowout, Carney, like the rest of the Wake Forest ground game, was unable to get going. He'll remain the RB2 to Demond Claiborne, but should still get a handful of touches each week. Regardless, Carney isn't poised to have much fantasy value in his current role, especially with the potential emergence of true freshman Ty Clark III.
