Jessie Bates III - Productive in defeat Bates tallied 19 rushes for 94 yards and gathered in his only target for eight yards during Saturday's 26-10 loss to Fresno State.

Impact While San Jose State's offense struggled as a whole Saturday, Bates still managed to put together another productive outing. The senior's tallied 376 rushing yards on 66 carries in his last three games. Bates and the Spartans will get a bye before traveling to Hawaii in Week 5 to open their conference schedule.

Cooper Hoch - Quiet in loss Hoch had two receptions (on three targets) for 23 yards during Saturday's 26-10 loss to Fresno State.

Impact Clark was responsible for SJSU's lone touchdown Saturday -- he cut the Spartans' deficit to 13-10 with his one-yard grab in the third quarter. Through four games, the freshman wideout's tallied 24 receptions (on 34 targets) for 240 yards and three scores.

Anthony Ivey - Bright spot in loss Ivey had seven receptions (on 10 targets) for 150 yards during Saturday's 26-10 defeat to Fresno State.

Impact While it was a tough night overall for the Spartans' offense, Ivey's breakout certainly offered a silver lining. The senior led SJSU in receptions and receiving yards after logging just two receptions for 34 yards across his first three games. Ivey, a one-time four-star recruit out of high school, joined San Jose State prior to the season after he failed to carve out a role with Penn State.

Luke Weaver - Throws four picks in loss Weaver completed 21 of 38 passes for 244 yards, a touchdown and four interceptions during Saturday's 26-10 loss to Fresno State.

Impact It was a tough night for Weaver, who had thrown just one interception in his first three games this season. Overall, the senior quarterback's completed 60.8 percent of his passes this year for 1,032 yards and nine touchdowns. Weaver and the Spartans will head into a bye before they'll look to bounce back in Week 5 on the road against Hawaii in their conference opener.
