Will get reps in Liberty Bowl Jones will get reps in the Liberty Bowl alongside fellow backup Brady Lichtenberg, per Neil Meyer of Front Office Sports.

Impact Cincinnati must pivot at quarterback in the Liberty Bowl against Navy on Jan. 2 after starter Brendan Sorsby announced he's both entering the transfer portal and testing the NFL Draft waters. That means Jones and Litchtenberg will both gets reps in the game, although head coach Scott Satterfield didn't specify how they would be divided. The redshirt freshman Jones completed two passes for 53 yards and a touchdown this season.

First collegiate action Saturday Jones completed 2 of 2 passes for 53 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 70-0 victory versus Northwestern State. He also had three rushes for 26 yards.

Impact Jones saw the field for the first time in his collegiate career Saturday and played well. He led two drives at the end of the blowout and tossed a 42-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Johnson. Although he is very unlikely to play again this season, this may have been a peak into the Bearcats' future at quarterback.
