'Backyard Brawl' to open Big 12 season, plus transfer QBs

Working back into practice Sneed (foot) participated in individual drills during Colorado's practice Monday, Brian Howell of BuffZone.com reports.

Impact Sneed similarly worked on his own during drills Saturday after the graduate senior wideout has been sidelined since injuring his foot during the Buffaloes' spring game, per Howell. The graduate senior wideout recorded 126 receptions for 1,498 yards and eight touchdowns over his past three seasons with Baylor. It's likely that Sneed continues to slowly work back into team sessions after Colorado coach Karl Dorrell also added Monday that he hopes the transfer will be available for the team's Week 1 matchup versus TCU on Sept. 2

Could practice this week Colorado head coach Karl Dorrell said Saturday that Sneed (undisclosed) could start practicing this week, Brian Howell of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.

Impact It's unclear what kind of injury Sneed is dealing with, but it sounds like he should be ready to start practicing soon, barring any setbacks. The wideout appeared in 13 games with Baylor last season, totaling 45 receptions for 564 yards and two touchdowns. He figures to be a big part of Colorado's passing game in 2022.

Impact Sneed has yet to record a touchdown in 2021 as Tyquan Thornton and Trestan Ebner accounted for the three passing scores in the rout of the Tigers. The senior did have three touchdowns in both the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He'll look to get that first score this year against Kansas next week.
