Impact Jackson suffered a significant injury during Rice's season opener against Houston Christian and has now been officially ruled out for the remainder of the season. The 5-foot-9 back had a solid performance prior to his injury and was expected to be a major contributor for the Owls heading into this season. D'Andre Hardeman and Tyvonn Byars are the likely candidates to lead the way for the Rice backfield.
