McMillan announced his committment to play for Kansas for the 2026 season via his X account Thursday.
Impact
McMillan will join the Jayhawks following three seasons with Buffalo. The 6-foot-1 receiver had a breakout season with the Bulls in 2025, catching 62 passes for 981 yards and three touchdowns across 12 games. He will retain a single year of eligibility with Kansas.

Set to enter portal
McMillan will enter the transfer portal, per Max Olson of The Athletic.
Impact
McMillan was the MAC's leading receiver in 2025 and was a first-team All-Conference player after reeling in 61 grabs for 975 yards and three touchdowns. It was a true breakout year for the wideout, who hadn't tallied more than 180 receiving yards in a season prior to this fall. With one more year of eligibility, he'll look to take his talents to a Power Conference program.

Keeps century streak alive in final
McMillan notched five receptions (on six targets) for 122 yards during Friday's 31-26 defeat versus Ohio.
Impact
McMillan was a problem once again for a secondary in the home game against the Bobcats, and he surpassed 100 yards for the sixth straight game. The WR1 will now close out his redshirt junior campaign with 61 catches for 975 yards and three touchdowns. He'll have one more year of eligibility after a three-year playing stint with the Bulls.

Another dominant showing in loss
McMillan brought in eight catches for 147 yards during Wednesday's 37-20 loss against Miami (OH).
Impact
McMillan tore up the RedHawks' defense even in an eventual loss. The starting wideout logged his fifth straight game with more than 100 receiving yards, and his fourth game of the year with eight or more catches. He should remain the top target in Buffalo's passing game next Friday against Ohio.

Reaches century mark once again
McMillan caught 7 of 13 targets for 122 yards and two touchdowns during Wednesday's 38-19 loss to Central Michigan.
Impact
McMillan was a menace once again, surpassing 100 receiving yards for his fourth straight game. The 6-foot-1 wide receiver also recorded two end-zone appearances, putting him at three on the year. With double-digit targets in his recent tear, there's no doubt that McMillan will command the volume to continue his impressive tear through the final two games of the season.

177 receiving yards in loss
McMillan logged eight receptions (on 10 targets) for 177 yards during Saturday's 24-16 loss against Akron.
Impact
McMillan was a force in the loss to the Zips, logging a season-high 177 yards and leading Buffalo's pass catchers in targets, catches and yards. The starting receiver has been a great compliment to position mate Victor Snow so far this season, and both receivers have put together impressive performances in many games. McMillan should stay involved at a high capacity at Bowling Green next week.

119 yards in sneaky in
McMillan reeled in 10 of 16 targets for 119 yards during Saturday's 28-21 victory over Massachusetts.
Impact
McMillan has seen a drought in the recent weeks, so the huge performance against the Minutemen was a sigh of relief. The starting wide receiver commanded the most targets in the win, which led him to finish the game as the leading yardage receiver. He might not command as many looks against Akron next week, but he should still stay very involved.

Developing rapport with Roberson
McMillan is developing a good rapport with starting quarterback Ta'Quan Roberson, Noah White of the Buffalo News reports.
Impact
McMillan made his mark in one of his two contests for Buffalo during the 2024 campaign, racking up five grabs for 76 yards and a touchdown against Lafayette before an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the campaign. He appears to be healthy again and should be in the mix for regular run this fall.

Will undergo season-ending surgery
McMillan will have season-ending surgery on his left knee, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.
Impact
The wideout suffered the injury on Sep. 7 against Missouri, and hasn't played since. He's been on a week-to-week basis ever since, but now the Bulls' top wideout has been shut down for the season with a season-ending surgery. This should open the door for Taji Johnson and Victor Snow to emerge as the top wideouts in this offense.

Remains out with knee injury
McMillan (knee) remains out for Buffalo this week, Jonah Bronstein of the Associated Press reports.
Impact
McMillan missed Week 3 with a knee injury and will remain out in Week 4. The Bulls' top wideout tallied five catches for 76 yards and a score in the opener, but was held without a catch in Week 2 and hasn't played since. This is a hit to Buffalo's passing game, and now Taji Johnson and Victor Snow will assume the top wideout roles in this offense for at least one more week.

Impact
McMillan, who did not suit up during last week's matchup with Missouri, is not listed on Buffalo's depth chart ahead of Saturday's showdown with UMass. The 6-foot-1 redshirt sophomore, who logged five receptions for 76 yards and a score during the Bulls' season opener against Lafayette, appears in line to miss his second-straight contest.

Top option against Lafayette
McMillan hauled in all five targets for 76 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 30-13 victory over Lafayette.
Impact
McMillan was hands down C.J. Ogbonna's favorite target as the Bulls rolled through Lafayette. McMillan saw his sole touchdown late in the first quarter, but was a consistent option throughout the game and should continue to be in the coming weeks.
