Adds two more catches in bowl
Ragaini gathered in two of three targets for 21 yards during Saturday's 21-0 win over Kentucky in the Music City Bowl.
Impact
Ragaini unsurprisingly saw few opportunities with redshirt freshman quarterback Joe Labas starting in place of injured senior Spencer Petras (shoulder) after No. 2 signal-caller Alex Padilla also entered the transfer portal. The fifth-year wideout was one of the few reliable wideouts for Iowa this season, though he logged the team's fourth-most targets behind tight ends Sam LaPorta (seven) and Luke Lachey (seven) and fellow wideout Diante Vines (four)during this bowl win. Ragaini finished the 2022 season with 34 receptions (on 59 targets) for 386 yards and one touchdown over 11 games -- all of which are the highest marks since his 2019 redshirt freshman campaign. The 6-foot pass catcher has already decided to return for his sixth season in 2023, according to John Steppe of The Gazette of Cedar Rapids, and he figures to once again serve as one of the top targets in an offense that will see a lot of personnel turnover heading into next season.

Seven catches Saturday
Ragaini recorded seven receptions (on 10 targets) during Saturday's 9-6 loss to Illinois.
Impact
Ragaini logged his highest number of catches and targets since his career-best 2019 campaign while facing the Fighting Illini's tough defense. This outlier performance came as quarterback Spencer Petras also attempted a season-high 36 passes (for 170 yards and an interception) in Week 6. Ragaini averaged 3.3 receptions (on 5.3 targets) for 39.3 since making his season debut in Week 3, but he'll continue to see a relatively limited target share behind tight end Sam LaPorta, who caught 10 of his 17 targets Saturday.

Paces wideouts in Week 5
Raigani caught four of his five targets for 55 yards during Saturday's 27-14 loss to Michigan.
Impact
Raigani was the top wideout for quarterback Spencer Petras (21-of-31 passing, 246 yards, one touchdown) with sophomore Keagan Johnson (undisclosed) out once again in Week 5. The senior pass catcher notched season-highs in receptions and targets, though the majority of Iowa's passing production came after the team went down 20-0 early in the third quarter. Ragaini's experience dating back to 2019 (90 receptions, 161 targets, 961 yards) should make him one of the top targets in Iowa's extremely limited passing offense this season.

Suits up Saturday
Raigani caught two of his four targets for 56 yards during Saturday's 27-0 win against Nevada.
Impact
Raigani led the Iowa receiving corps in yards while making his first appearance of the 2022 campaign during Saturday's easy win. The 6-foot pass catcher returned from a lingering undisclosed injury alongside sophomore wideout Kegan Johnson (two receptions, four targets, 11 yards), who is assumed to serve as the Hawkeyes' top pass catcher when healthy this season. Raignai should continue to vie with Johnson and wideout Arland Bruce (three catches, four targets, 50 yards, one touchdown) for a limited number of receiving opportunities from struggling starter Spencer Petras (37-of-77 passing, 376 yards, 1:2 TD:INT ratio) moving forward into Big Ten play, which begins this coming Saturday against Rutgers.

Should play Saturday
Ragaini (undisclosed) should return to action Saturday versus Nevada, Scott Dochterman of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Ragaini tallied 26 receptions for 331 yards and a touchdown over 13 games for the Hawkeyes last season and should provide a bit of a boost to a passing attack that has been woeful early in the season. Keagan Johnson (undisclosed) is also expected to suit up and should play a healthy role in the contest.
