Impact Morris and the Maryland offense had a tough day against a stout Penn State defense, managing just seven points while totaling less than 200 yards on the day. The redshirt sophomore quarterback connected with receiver Kaden Prather on a 25-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, giving the Terps their only score of the day. Morris threw for 350 yards and five touchdowns to five interceptions in seven appearances this season while serving primarily as a backup until starter Billy Edwards suffered an undisclosed injury. With Maryland missing out on bowl eligibility, Morris will have to wait until the off-season for another chance to stake his claim for the starting job in 2025.

Starting Saturday Morris will get the start under center for the Terrapins during Saturday's game against Penn State, Daniel Gallen of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Morris, who started against the Hawkeyes last weekend, will continue to start in place of the injured Billy Edwards (undisclosed). The 6-foot-1 redshirt sophomore transfer from NC State has thrown for 238 yards (22-of-37), four touchdowns and two interceptions this season, adding on 46 yards and a score on the ground.

Taking first-team warmup reps Morris has been spotted taking the first-team reps under center ahead of Saturday's game against Penn State, Nathan Schwartz of Big Ten Plus reports.

Impact Morris appears in line to start for the Terrapins with Billy Edwards (undisclosed) questionable for the contest. The 6-foot-1 redshirt sophomore threw for 103 yards (12-of-23), two touchdowns and two interceptions against Iowa last week.

Impact Morris filled in for fellow quarterback Billy Edwards after the starter left the game with an undisclosed injury. Morris had an up-and-down performance, as the redshirt sophomore threw two touchdowns while tossing a pair of interceptions as well before Edwards returned to the game. Should Edwards be held out of the team's season finale against Penn State this coming Saturday, Morris will get another opportunity against the Nittany Lions.

Shines in limited role Morris was 7-for-8 passing for 122 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 48-23 defeat to Minnesota.

Impact Morris performed admirably in his limited opportunity on Saturday, filling in for fellow quarterback Billy Edwards in the fourth quarter with the game well in hand in favor of the Golden Gophers. The redshirt sophomore quarterback connected with linebacker DJ Samuels and receiver Shaleak Knotts on a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns while completing 88 percent of his passes after filling in for Edwards. With Edwards healthy, it is unlikely that Morris will see many opportunities moving forward outside of blowout situations like Saturday, but his next chance to see the field will come when the Terrapins travel to Eugene to face Oregon following this week's bye.

Impact Morris was sidelined in Week 2 after completing 3-of-4 passes for 75 yards in Maryland's opener. The redshirt sophomore is expected to backup Billy Edwards going forward.

Impact Morris played sparingly in the opener, completing 3-of-4 passes for 75 yards as the backup to Billy Edwards. He's slated to miss the Terrapins' first conference game of the season, however, leaving Cameron Edge in line to backup Maryland's starting quarterback.

Impact After enrolling at Maryland, Morris and Billy Edwards competed to be Maryland's quarterback during the offseason. Unfortunately for Morris, it appears Edwards has won out, meaning the former likely will not have an immediate in-game opportunity to prove himself.
