Impact For the first time since Hughes suffered his foot injury, Appalachian State announced the possibility of him being available for the team. Kicking has not been so problematic for App State, but the category can be improved upon, considering stand-in Jackson Moore has missed two of six field goals he has attempted during Hughes' absence. Meanwhile, the injured kicker has not missed any of his five field goals and 10 extra points attempted. Still, it would be a surprise if Hughes does come back this season, considering he has no other opportunity to redshirt after 2024.
