Huge day in win Alejado was 37-for-57 passing for 469 yards and five touchdowns during Saturday's 38-30 win over New Mexico. He also had 10 rushes for 54 yards.

Impact Making his first collegiate start in place of Brayden Schager (knee), Alejado turned in a stellar performance while spreading the ball around -- four receivers had at least 79 receiving yards on the day. Alejado, a true freshman and former three-star recruit out of Las Vegas, figures to have the inside track on the starting job in 2025.

Expected to start Saturday Alejado is expected to start for the injured Brayden Schager (knee) for Saturday's matchup against New Mexico, Tanner Haworth of ESPN Honolulu reports.

Impact Alejado is expected to start under center for the final game of the regular season as Brayden Schager (knee) is expected to be out. The true freshman quarterback came in for relief duty against Utah State, completing 11 of 12 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown.

Needed in relief Alejado completed 11 of 12 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 55-10 defeat to Utah State. He also had eight rushes for eight yards.

Impact Alejado took over under center following an injury to Brayden Schager (knee), with the Warriors down 45-3 in the second half. While he was primarily tasked with mop-up duty, Alejado was solid overall in his first real collegiate action, completing all but one of his passes, including a 44-yard touchdown to Dekel Crowdus. If Schager can't go in Week 14 following a bye, Alejado, a true freshman, figures to get the start against New Mexico.
