Headed to Morgantown Brown has announced his commitment to West Virginia, On3.com reports.

Impact Brown will make the move to West Virginia after spending one season in Charlotte. The 6-foot-3 redshirt sophomore, who started his collegiate career at Florida, threw for 561 yards (43-of-93), three touchdowns and six interceptions during his time with the 49ers, adding on 72 rushing yards.

Impact Brown will re-enter the transfer portal following a single season with Charlotte. Impact Brown replaced starter Deshawn Purdie in the fourth quarter of Thursday's game and struggled massively. Purdie struggled against the tough Tulane defense too as he threw a pick-six and completed under 50 percent of his passes. The 49ers are leaving Thursday's blowout loss with more questions than answers at the quarterback position, but regardless of who starts after the bye, the position group is best avoided for fantasy managers.
