Two targets during Week 1 Smith (leg) logged two targets during Saturday's 24-21 loss at Troy.

Impact Landyn Locke targeting Smith twice during Saturday's game indicates that the tight end is not only healthy but also a potential go-to for his quarterback teammate. If that remains the case, he should improve upon his 2024 and 2025 seasons, which saw him record a combined six receptions for 51 yards and one touchdown.

There is still time for him to recover, but fall may be a little too quick for the tight end to enter the beginning of next season healthy.
