Impact Irving's numbers remained high due to the absence of Byron Cardwell. The pecking order at RB for the Ducks is a bit of.a mystery, as the team has released no information about Cardwell's condition. It makes players like Irving a bit risky as a long-term hold because Cardwell could swing back into action at any moment.

Flirts with 100 rushing yards Irving rushed 10 times for 97 yards in Saturday's 45-27 win over Stanford.

Impact Although Byron Cardwell attended warmups for a second consecutive week, the team held him out again, and Irving took advantage. This is a fluid situation currently, so Irving isn't necessarily a bad streaming option, but unless there is news to the contrary, Cardwell should return to a starting role when fully healthy.

Impact Byron Cardwell (undisclosed) is still not ready to return, so Irving had the green light to lead the running game. Irving is playing well enough to spark speculation about a change o the depth chart, and it will be interesting to see how the team divides touches once Cardwell returns.

It'd be surprising if he wasn't guaranteed a sizable role with Oregon after leaving a possible starter's gig with the Gophers.

Impact This is a bit of a surprising move as the young running back played very well in his freshman year as he racked up 699 yards and four touchdowns on the ground for the Gophers. The return of Mohamed Ibrahim may be the reason that Irving plans to leave as Ibrahim figures to get the bulk of the carries if he stays healthy.
