Lands at UMAss
Pope will transfer to UMass, he announced Monday night on Twitter.
Impact
Pope has bounced around in his first three collegiate seasons, spending his freshman and sophomore year at Miami (Fla.) and then transferring to Jackson State prior to the 2022 season. Pope was a solid complimentary receiver at Miami, going over 400 yards his sophomore season. Then, he caught just one pass last season at Jackson State and decided it was time for a change of scenery. Pope has now found a new home in Amherst, where he'll look to make an immediate impact.

Missing from practice Tuesday
Pope is not on the practice field Tuesday, Manny Navarro of The Athletic reports.
Impact
The reason behind Pope's absence is unclear at this juncture, but it's something that could have more light shed on it in the near future. Barring a long-term setback, Pope should be a factor in the Hurricanes' passing attack to open the season Sept. 4 versus Alabama.
