Good to go Saturday Covey is off the injury report ahead of Saturday's game at Kansas.

Impact Covey, who was dealing with an undisclosed injury ahead of Saturday's contest, is officially good to go for the road contest. He still sits behind Tawee Walker and Evan Pryor on the depth chart though, so he doesn't figure to see too much action versus the Jayhawks.

Impact Covey exited the spring game with an injury, but the fact that he's been participating in practice suggests that he should be available for the season opener against Nebraska on Thursday, Aug. 28.

Exits spring game Covey left Cincinnati's spring game aided by trainers and wasn't able to put any weight on his right leg, per 247Sports.com.

Impact Covey sustained a right leg injury in the Bearcats' spring game, forcing him to exit the exhibition and the tailback was unable to return. There's been nothing official on his injury status as of yet, but at the very least, the top of Cincinnati's backfield appears to be in good hands with Evan Pryor and Tawee Walker.

Logs huge game in relief Covey compiled eight rushes for 15 yards and reeled in all six targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 44-41 defeat to Texas Tech.

Impact Corey Kiner (undisclosed) went down with an injury early, and Even Pryor (undisclosed) was sidelined soon after, leaving Covey in control of the rushing attack. He responded well, surpassing the century mark in receiving yards and scoring twice.
