Heading to South Florida Kromenhoek has committed to USF, according to Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com.

Impact Kromenhoek began his career at Florida State and also played for Mississippi State in 2025, completing 2-for-4 passes for 20 yards in two games while adding 24 yards and a score on the ground. He moves to USF in an attempt to get the regular playing time he hasn't had in other programs throughout his college career.

Impact Before suffering a year-ending shoulder injury, Blake Shapen began his 2024 season as Mississippi State's primary quarterback. He was replaced by Michael Van Buren, currently committed to LSU not long after Shapen announced he would enroll at MSU again. Now, Kromenhoek is Shapen's primary competition at the quarterback competition for 2025. During 2024, the freshman Kromenhoek's best log included 13 completions for 209 yards and three touchdowns without any turnovers against Charleston Southern. However, that performance was his only great one then, so it would be no surprise if Shapen enters 2025 as the favorite under center for Mississippi State.
