Impact It's nice that Joseph, a longtime Panther, got a touchdown, because the redshirt senior's time as a piece of the program's offense is over. Even if he returns, COVID-19 and an injury that cost him 2023 loom for eligibility, he will be pushed aside by freshman back Devonte Lyons.

Impact Joseph essentially didn't play in 2023 due to injury, and he was easing into things to start this year it would seem. This is his first game with double-digit touches, but he did manage to average 5.6 yards per carry and find the end zone. Maybe FIU is going to roll with him as the number-one back sooner rather than later.

For at least a similar output during 2024, Joseph will have to beat out Shomari Lawrence in FIU's pecking order of running backs.
