Tosses two TDs in win Lyddy was 24-for-37 passing for 316 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Tuesday's 55-34 loss to Troy. He also had nine rushes for 13 yards.

Impact Lyddy connected with wideout Mario Sanders for both of his touchdowns during Tuesday's loss. The 316 yards were a season high and through five games, Lyddy has thrown for 824 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions. Up next is a home matchup with Arkansas State on Oct. 17.

Impact Lyddy was competing with Ethan Hampton for the QB1 role, and while both players were listed as co-starters, Hampton ultimately got the nod. Expect Lyddy to be ready as the QB2, though, as he has experience in that role. He appeared in four games for Southern Miss in 2025, and he made five appearances for UAB between 2023 and 2024 as well.
