For the second straight week, Lyddy connected with wideout Elijah Metcalf for a touchdown, this time in the third quarter for a four yard score. If quarterback Braylon Braxton is unable to go next Saturday on the road against South Alabama, Lyddy appears to be in line to get another start.

Impact Lyddy will get his first start of the season in the absence of Braylon Braxton. The redshirt junior quarterback accounted for two total touchdowns last week against Arkansas State in mop-up duty, one via the air and one by ground.

Over these four games, the true freshman signal-caller went 74-for-114 passing for 687 yards and three touchdowns to four interceptions to go along with one rushing touchdown over 11 carries. Lyddy will now look to continue his development under the eye of former NFL quarterback and longtime quarterback tutor Trent Dilfer, who took the Blazers' head-coaching position in early December.
