Impact Sims' latest update indicates he is out for the spring, though there is a strong chance his knee injury will not cause any health-based absences just before the 2026 FBS season. The year before, he underwent surgery to repair said knee, a procedure that ultimately ended his short 2025.

Impact Sims is set to miss the remainder of the season with an undisclosed knee ailment. While we don't know the specifics of the injury, we do know that it's severe, as the quarterback reportedly may not be ready by next September. Kaden Anderson is slated to remain the starter for the Cowboys.
