Impact Drones was ruled out for Saturday's game and now it's more clear why. He has a boot on his left foot, indicating the injury may be more serious than previously thought. His next chance to play is next Saturday versus Clemson.

He also protected the football after throwing a pick and losing a fumble the week prior. Drones won't blow you away statistically, but he's done enough to help Virginia Tech win three straight after the heartbreaking loss to Miami.

Impact Drones had a quiet day through the air, but he didn't need to rack up the passing numbers to lead Virginia Tech's offense to a 42-point performance. Drones' legs were deadly, as he scored twice on the ground while gaining 40 yards in that department. The quarterback has been effective for the Hokies, but he still has just one game of 200-plus passing yards to his name this fall. His weekly rushing production, however, adds plenty of upside to the gunslinger from a fantasy perspective.

Impact Drones didn't need to do all that much in an easy win over struggling Stanford. He had his most efficient day as a passer this season, completing 73.7 percent of his passes. He also didn't turn the ball over for just the second game of the 2024 season. Drones also hit the 200-yard passing mark for the first time since Week 1. He hasn't necessarily poured on the stats this season, but the gunslinger has done enough to operate this offense fluently more often than not.

Impact Drones' day would've looked much better had his game-winning Hail Mary not been controversially overturned. Still, the quarterback did all he could to nearly upset the 'Canes, and put together a respectable stat-line in the process. Still, it was the fourth consecutive game Drones hasn't hit the 200-yard mark passing. If you're looking for big-time production through the air, look elsewhere.
