Koby Young News, Rumors, Updates - Houston Cougars | FOX Sports

63 yards in loss Young posted five receptions (on seven targets) for 63 yards during Saturday's 21-13 defeat versus Utah.

Impact Young had a solid day Saturday, gaining over 60 yards for the second time this season, both of which have come in the last two games. He set season highs in receptions and targets as well. He's found a more sustained role in the offense as of late, and with how productive the Cougars' passing offense is, Young is worth an add in deeper leagues following his Week 9 bye.

Scores in Saturday's win Young recorded three receptions (on four targets) for 68 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 35-32 victory over Oklahoma State.

Impact Young caught his fifth touchdown of the season Saturday, a 48-yard reception in the 4th quarter which gave his team a 10-point lead. He gained a season-high 68 yards in the win. While he certainly has a knack for the endzone and for big plays, Young appears to be the fourth option in the passing game so he's really only valuable in deep formats at this point.

While the bulk of the passing volume is being funneled to Amare Thomas and Patrick Overmyer, Young still has value given his big-play ability.

Fall starter pending Young was impressive in Houston's spring ball and he's a projected starter come fall, Joseph Duarte of San Antonio Express-News reports.

Impact Young is heading into the 2025 season as a redshirt freshman after sitting out last campaign with a toe injury. In what will be the 6-foot wide receiver's first full season, he looks to already be set for meaningful playing time as a projected starter. Nothing is set with a lot of time left before the Cougars' season opener versus Stephen F. Austin, but he's on a good path to starting at this moment in time.
