Impact Pace will miss his first game of the season due to an apparent knee injury. HIs absence will open up opportunities for Noah Vaughn and Donte Hawthorne to pick up the slack in the ground game.

Impact Pace was unable to get anything going in Virginia's big loss to North Carolina. The tailback has now been relatively stymied for three straight weeks. Pace hasn't even hit 50 yards rushing since Week 6. That, coupled with the poor play of his starting quarterback Anthony Colandrea, makes Pace an un-appealing fantasy option at this juncture.

Impact Pace was bottled up against Clemson, and his involvement predictably dipped as the Cavaliers proceeded to get blown out in the second half. The tailback once again led the team in carries, but it's extremely rare for a team getting boat-raced to still establish a running game. Pace will look to bounce back next week in a more manageable matchup with North Carolina.

Impact Pace couldn't get much of anything going on the ground against Louisville. The same could be said for the rest of the Cavaliers' backfield, and their inability to establish a ground game was a big catalyst for the loss. Pace has been the top dog in this backfield, but Xavier Brown is sneaking up on him, as he logged eight carries in the loss. Brown didn't have any better luck on the ground, but Pace's stranglehold on this backfield could be weakening.

Paces backfield in win Pace posted 19 carries for 83 yards and hauled in 1 of 2 targets for 29 yards during Saturday's 24-14 victory against Boston College.

Impact Pace easily dominated the touches in Virginia's backfield with 19. His 83 yards rushing and 29 yards receiving were the second-highest totals of the season for the tailback in each category, respectively. Pace has yet to put together a massive game, but he has a firm hold on the lead duties in this backfield.

Impact Pace was rather quiet despite leading the Cavaliers in carries. Backup tailback Xavier Brown stole the show with 171 yards, but Pace remained the lead back in terms of playing time. He scored his second touchdown of the season, but Pace has struggled to break the big play on the ground for Virginia. That might start to eat into his carries.

Impact Pace matched his total from Week 1 with 11 carries after being stymied with five for 15 yards last week. Xavier Brown also logged seven carries, so while Pace remains the top back, this isn't exclusively his backfield. It's been a struggle to create big runs for Pace this season, but he'll remain the Cavaliers' top option at tailback moving forward. His receiving chops also help him maintain value.

Pace remains a staple of this offense, but the fact that he was unable to get going in a high-scoring affair against Wake Forest is rather concerning.
