Expected to play Sunday Vorhees (undisclosed) is expected to participate in Sunday's scrimmage, per Jamey Vinnick of 247Sports.com.

Impact Vorhees has seemingly moved past the injury he suffered earlier in the summer that sidleined him for several practice sessions. He is expected to serve as the team's starting running back during the upcoming campaign.

Expected to resume practicing next week Vorhees (undisclosed) is expected to resume practicing next week, Greg Woods of The Spokesman-Review reports.

Impact Upon returning to Washington State, Vorhees suffered an injury that has rendered him out for several practices. The injury is described as "just a little bump" though, and him being expected to practice next week gives him a much more positive probable status going into the Cougars' season opener Sept. 6 against in-state rival Washington.

Returning to Washington State Vorhees has withdrawn from the transfer portal and will play for Washington State in 2026, the team announced.

Impact Vorhees entered the transfer portal in December, but after testing the open market, he'll return to Pullman for the 2026 campaign. Last season, he rushed 138 times for 576 yards and five touchdowns, and he'll have the inside track to lead the team's RB room as a redshirt junior.

In 2024 with the Jackrabbits, Vorhees ran for 581 yards and eight scores on a healthy 7.7 yards-per-carry. The Cougars take on San Diego State on Saturday, Sept. 6. Vorhees and the Washington State running game might have a better day on the ground. The Aztecs rushing defense last season was near the bottom in the nation, allowing 207 rushing yards a game.
