Less than stellar in SEC opener Minchey was 18-for-31 passing for 146 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 45-17 defeat to Alabama. He also had six rushes for -19 yards.

Impact Minchey struggled for much of the game as the Alabama pass rush made him uncomfortable most of the day. Minchey was able to find Henry Boyer for a 20-yard touchdown as the big tight end was left uncovered. Unfortunately, Minchey's day was highlighted by an early pick-six and a strip sack.
