Impact Mitchell will seek opportunities at the professional level after spending three seasons at East Carolina. The 5-foot-9 running back appeared in 33 games during his time with the program, logging 463 carries for 3,020 yards and 25 touchdowns, along with 60 receptions for 580 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Despite playing at a non-power five conference school, his production profile should warrant attention from NFL scouts.

Shines in Birmingham Bowl Mitchell rushed 22 times for 127 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 15 yards in Tuesday's 53-29 win over Coastal Carolina.

Impact Mitchell kept his hot streak going Tuesday, as he rushed for over 100 yards for the seventh straight game. The sophomore has scored 12 total touchdowns over that stretch too, cementing himself as an elite running back in the AAC. With quarterback Holton Ahlers out of eligibility, the Pirates may rely on Mitchell even more next season.
