Impact Lambert-Smith logged over 90 receiving yards for the second game in a row, as he once again led the Nittany Lions in all receiving categories Week 10. The junior wideout has been the lone bright spot in Penn State's inefficient passing offense this season, tallying team highs in receptions (51) and yards (645) through nine games. However, he hasn't been the team's go-to scoring threat through the air, as the team's tight ends Tyler Warren and Theo Johnson have repeatedly hauled in the red-zone scores for this offense. Lambert-Smith's yards per reception (12.6) have stagnated similar to the rest of Penn State's passing offense. He'll look to avoid a repeat of the somewhat underwhelming stat line he had against Ohio State in Week 8 when the Nittany Lions welcome Michigan to Happy Valley this coming Saturday.

Impact Lambert-Smith came up big late with his second-longest reception of the season, catching a pass deep down the sideline for a 57-yard touchdown that put Penn State up 31-24 with just under two minutes remaining. This marked just the second 40-plus yard completion of the season for the Nittany Lions offense, which has struggled to any consistency or explosiveness this year. Lambert-Smith has been far and away the team's best receiver this season, but he's failed to record over 100 yards since the season opener, and he's logged just two receiving touchdowns over the last five games. He and quarterback Drew Allar (20-for-31 passing, 210 yards, three touchdowns) will look to connect on more big passes this coming week versus Maryland.

However, Lambert-Smith put the game away on the first play of the fourth quarter, beating a Utah safety over the top before catching a deep pass on his way to a walk-in 88-yard touchdown. Running back Kaytron Allen then put the Nittany Lions up 35-14 when he scored a one-yard touchdown run on the team's following offensive series. This also set the third-year wideout's career high for receiving yards in a game. He also finished third on the team in receiving yards (389) this season behind Washington and Tinsley and fourth in receptions behind tight end Theo Johnson.
